The Bagaria Group headed by Shri Sheo Shankar Bagaria, assisted by Mr. Abhishek Bagaria and Mr. Ashish Bagaria, is into manufacturing of steel products, Tea Estates, Real Estate, Investments in the capital market and has Wind Farms.

Shri Sheo Shankar Bagaria is an experienced, successful and renowned industrialist of Kolkata. He has an astute understanding of the micro aspects of the businesses which is required for the growth of the Group.

Mr. Bagaria is the Hony. Consul of Republic of Slovenia, Kolkata.

Mr. Bagaria has held the following respectable positions:-

  • Past Chairman of Darjeeling Tea Association.
  • Past President of MCC Chamber of Commerce & Industry (1995-1996 and 1996-1997)
  • Past member of Managing Committee of Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industries in India (Apex body in Delhi).

He is presently the committee member of the following associations:-

  • Steel Rolling Mills Association of Bengal.
  • Tea Association of India.
  • MCC Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
  • Darjeeling Tea Association.

Mr. Bagaria is involved in various corporate and social responsibilities and activities in the form of financial support through Sitaram Bagaria Charitable Trust which supports students who are terminally or critically ill, poor and deserving, physically disabled and needy and children with special needs.

He is also running a school under a trust with Higher Secondary level with hostel facilities at his native place Bagar, district Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.

The parent company of the group is M/s. AHW Steels Pvt. Ltd. The company was incorporated in the year 1949 and has a licensed capacity of 91700 tonnes per annum, for production of Wire Rods, TMT Bars with Thermax Technology, M.S. Rounds and light structural like Angles, Channels etc. The work force employed is nearly 350 including Managerial, Supervisory and Workmen who are technically and commercially competent to carry out their allotted functions.

The Group has four Tea Estates:

One of the group companies namely Kusum International (Export House, recognized by The Government of India) is a tea trading and export division of Bagaria Group. We deal in all kinds of Indian teas, handling large weights of Darjeeling teas, Assam teas (Orthodox and CTC) and South Indian teas (Orthodox and CTC) as producer and merchant exporters. Our Darjeeling tea export is done in original and blends for all grades. The tea is exported across Japan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Canada, Dubai, U.S.A and European Countries.

The company has also ventured into the business of generating and supplying electricity to the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) by setting up a 2.5 MW (2X1250 KV) wind power project at Dhule, Maharashtra through Suzlon Energy Limited.

One of the group companies namely Bagaria Finance Ltd. (NBFC Registered) is engaged in Non-Banking Business activities, maintaining investments in the capital market.

The Group is also engaged in development and construction of real estate business. It is developing a 2 Acre plot for more than 4 Lac sq. ft. of luxurious residential apartments on EM Bypass road (between ITC Sonar Bangla Hotel and JW Marriott Hotel, Kolkata).

The Group’s another real estate project, under construction, Bagaria Pravesh, spread over more than 2.5 acres of land and comprising of 200 residential apartments, is located on Feeder Road off B.T. Road in North Kolkata- www.bagariapravesh.com
